HISTORY
Mikell’s Big House was built by Albert Twining in 1889. Albert was the president of the bank in Asbury Park. Unfortunately, Albert was sent to the “Big House” for embezzling from the bank. He invested in gold mines out west that didn’t quite pan out.
Mikell bought the Big House while living in San Francisco. She eventually moved into the carriage house (where she and Daisy live now) to oversee the renovation of the Big House. While the exterior was a true historic restoration, the interior was slightly altered to accommodate a modern lifestyle |
